Australian Pelican
Pelicanus conspicillatus

The Australian Pelican has the biggest bill of any bird in the world, at 50 cm, making up a large proportion of its total length of 160-180 cm. They are the only member of the pelican family to live in Australia and were once found in New Zealand, probably prior to the arrival of the Maori. As with other pelicans, their diet is mostly fish, but will eat other prey.
