Eastern Reef Egret
Egretta sacra

These egrets are on average a little larger in body size than the Little Egret ( 60-65 cm for Eastern Reef vs 55-65 cm for Little), but with considerably shorter and thicker legs as well as a shorter and thicker bill. They occur in two forms (or 'morphs') - the larger amount are mid to dark grey while a smaller proportion are white and are more common in the tropics.
