Laughing Kookaburra
Dacelo novaeguineae

Laughing Kookaburras are the biggest of all the Kingfishers (40-47 cm in length) and are native to Australia. They live in wooded areas and parks, but will visit gardens and can be very tame. It's probably the best-known of Australian birds and the laugh they make is quite something to hear.
