Little Grassbird
Megalurus gramineus

The Little Grassbird is a member of the Old-World warbler family and frequents reeds and tall grasses in swampy areas and lakes. They can be found around much of the eastern and western coasts of Australia and Tasmania through to Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. Their diet consists of small insects and arthropods found in reed beds. They are the smaller of the two grassbirds found in Australia (14 cm), the other being the Tawny Grassbird.
