Common Bottlenose Dolphin
Tursiops truncatus

These are fairly large dolphins and are commonly seen jumping the bow waves of ships at sea. They are the larger offshore relative of the Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin and can be told apart by size and the smaller beak of the Common. As with other dolphins, their diet consists primarily of fish and cephalopods.
