Alpine Water Skink
Eulamprus kosciuskoi

Alpine Water Skinks have a restricted range throughout Victoria and NSW, living in mountainous regions. The Victorian population is critically endangered. Eulamprus skinks, such as this one and the Eastern Water Skink bear live young, rather than laying eggs. Their diet is mostly insectivorous. Snout-to-vent length is 85 mm, making them medium-sized for Eulamprus skinks.
