Gould's Goanna
Varanus gouldii

Also known as the Gould's Monitor, Racehorse Goanna and Sand Goanna, this monitor is common across much of the drier parts of Australia. Monitors in general are carnivorus, feeding on birds, reptiles and amphibians - basically anything smaller than itself including other monitors. Gould's Goannas range in size between 1.2-1.6 m.
