Dartford Warbler
Sylvia undata
Dartford Warblers are tiny birds with a metallic call and very quiet song. They are still rare in Britain and at one point in the 1960s there were perhaps only six left in the country. They have since recovered well and can be found as far North as the Midlands and as far West as Dorset.
The bird on the left is a female and on the right is a male in summer plumage.
