Goldcrest
Regulus regulus

Goldcrests are common residents in Britain and are part of the warbler family in a group known as the kinglets (regulus being latin for 'kinglet'). The other kinglet found in Britain is the Firecrest, which is much rarer and has a broad white supercillium (eyebrow). They have very high pitched calls that some older people cannot hear and they are very active little birds. Along with the Firecrest, they are the smallest birds we have in the UK.
