Long-tailed Tit
Aegithalos caudatus

These tiny birds are a familiar sight and sound all year round, flitting from tree to tree in family groups, whistling to maintain contact with each other. In winter, other birds join their flocks to form large, roving groups looking for what food they can get. They can be quite fearless of people at times. The race usually found in Britain is ssp. rosaceus, which has dark spots on the breast.
