(Common) Wood pigeon
Columba palumbus

Wood Pigeons are one of the most common birds in Britain and despite their presence all year round here, many are migratory and can form flocks of many thousands when they are on the move. They're not the brightest of birds, but are still quite wary of people although some do become quite tame. Photos 1 and 3 are of adults, 2 and 4 are of juveniles.
