What birds are the Tittifers?

I can't believe I spent an hour on this...

A few people on Birding Aus were wondering what species the smallest of the Tittifers was (if you don't know what a Tittifer is, run now. No, I mean it, really.)
Two suggestions were made - a Kokako and a White-throated Laughingthrush. Another idea from the internet was that it was a Shaft-tailed Finch. Either way, it was heavily tinted in the program.
So, I cranked up Paint.NET and played with a few images.

The Kokako.

Kokako? Not a Tittifer

The White-throated Laughingthrush.

Shaft-tailed Finch? Winner!
