Common Gull
Larus canus

Common Gulls (Mew Gull in the US) are one of the smaller Larus gulls. They look like scaled-down Herring Gulls, but slimmer in build with shorter beaks with distinctive markings in Winter and yellow-green legs. The first two are winter adults, the last is a 2nd-winter bird.
