Brown Falcon
Falco berigora

The Brown Falcon is a medium-sized falcon (40 cm length, 90-120 cm wingspan) and a fairly common bird of inland Australia. They are capable of hovering while looking for their prey of rodents, amphibians, ground birds, large insects and lizards, but in a somewhat less perfected style than birds such as the Nankeen Kestrel, but generally they hunt on the ground.
